Chirundu One Stop Border Post

The Chirundu One Stop Border Post (OSBP) was launched in December 2009 through a Bilateral Agreement between Zimbabwe and Zambia. It is a trade facilitation project under the North-South Corridor (NSC) initiative spanning across the COMESA, EAC and SADC regions. The NSC is a transport Corridor (road and Rail) that links the Dar es Salaam Corridor to the Southern parts of South Africa through the Copperbelt  covering the following countries; Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Malawi, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and South Africa. The main objective of the Chirundu OSBP is to enhance trade facilitation through the efficient movement of goods and people.

The Chirundu One Stop Border Post enhances trade through reducing transit times for traders and transporters, reducing processing times at the border which translates into reduced costs and improved competitiveness, streamlined and harmonized border procedures between Zimbabwe and Zambia resulting in predictable movement of goods. The Chirundu One Stop Border Post operates 24 hours a day.
